Risk and Insurance Management Society Selects McCart's Dan Houston as Risk Management Professional of the Year
The McCart Group’s Executive Director of Strategic Risk Management and Learning, Daniel (Dan) W. Houston, was honored as Risk Management Professional of the Year receiving the "Walter H. Buce, Jr. Memorial Award" at the Atlanta Chapter of the Risk and Insurance Management Society’s (RIMS) Annual Educational Conference on February 18th, 2010. Dan is the Society’s 15th recipient of the award, which is presented annually to an outstanding risk management and insurance professional. The award is named in memory of Walter H. Buce, Jr. for his contributions to the Atlanta risk management and insurance community. Eligible candidates for this award must be a risk management or insurance professional or educator and must serve in the property/casualty segment of the industry or university.
Dan was recognized for his career as a director of risk management and insurance for worldwide Fortune 500 companies; major insurance brokers and for his contributions in risk management and insurance education. He is a frequent speaker and has authored over 300 articles, texts and educational courses.
